COVID-19

 Posted February 8, 2022

We anticipate far fewer restrictions and inconveniences as we approach the 2022 event. However, due to the unpredictable nature of the virus, we encourage you to visit this page again as we get closer to the event for any further updates.

An update to our post from August 1: We will now allow all 3-Day AND Single-Day tickets to be exchanged for 2022 tickets if they are postmarked by Thursday, August 12, 2021. The 3-Day ticket will be mailed by this September and Single-Day tickets will be mailed when they are printed in May ‘22.

Due to recent developments we have extended the deadline for those wishing to exchange their 2020 3-Day ticket for the 2022 event. Although the deadline has expired to return these tickets for a cash refund, we will still exchange them until August 7 for those of you who are feeling uncomfortable attending this years event. Mouse over TICKETS on the home page menu and click EXCHANGE/REFUND from the drop-down menu. Print, complete and mail to our offices, post-dated by August 7, 2021 for your exchange.

Even though this is an outdoor event, we would like to remind people to try to continue to social distance, use the hand washing stations and sanitizers located throughout the park and if you wish, wear a mask.

Tickets are back on sale. However, due to ongoing changes and recommendations by both the CDC and the State of Minnesota, we will be limiting the sales of additional 3-Day Ticket Packages to 500. Limits to Single Day Tickets will be announced as further updates warrant.

The Governor of Minnesota has issued new regulation updates at a press conference on 3/12/21. We will begin to gradually update our website over the next few weeks.

Thank you for your patience.

We thought long and hard about this…. It was a painstaking decision to make, but clearly the right thing to do.  The responsible thing to do.

The 2020 Bayfront Blues Festival has been rescheduled for August 13-15, 2021.

The global pandemic has been particularly devastating to the music, festival, and event industries. They have been thoroughly impacted by this virus and have come to a complete standstill.  Once these businesses cautiously start to reopen, they will be operating at an extremely scaled back capacity. Tours will become financially unfeasible.  Bands are hesitant to travel, especially our older blues artists who are more susceptible and concerned for their wellbeing. The safety of our festival community, musicians and staff is absolutely our top priority….

Furthermore, sponsors have had to rethink their involvement based on budget cuts and vendors have had to make the difficult decision not to participate in events with large gatherings. This crisis has impacted every aspect of producing and presenting festivals and outdoor events.

Moving forward, we will be suspending all ticket and VIP cash refund requests until June 1, 2021. After this date you will have until July 31, 2021 to decide if you want to use them, exchange them for the 2021 or 2022 event, or request a refund check.

A special form will be available on the website for exchanges or refunds at that time.

Of course, all ticket packages and VIP passes purchased in advance will be honored in 2021 or 2022. Simply bring your 2020 ticket to the gate in 2021. If you would like to use them in 2022 instead, return them to us by July 31, 2021 and we will mail you new 2022 tickets in the fall. No additional fees or price increases applied.

Ticket sales to the rescheduled event will be suspended until May 1, 2021 and due to the financial damage that has already been done, a substantial increase is anticipated for all ticket and VIP packages sold thereafter. Once again, all tickets and VIP's previously purchased will be honored for the rescheduled festival with no additional fees or price increases. Be sure to hold on to your 2020
3-Day ticket for event admission.

For events such as ours to continue, we respectfully ask for your support and understanding through this extraordinarily difficult time.

We cannot thank all of you enough for being a part of our blues family for over thirty years. Simply put, we could not do it without you. We are extremely grateful for your continued loyalty and overwhelmingly appreciate your understanding.

We are all in this together – thank you so very much and we look forward to seeing you in 2021 or 2022!
